Letter: Sean Spence for a bipartisan state

This election season, we find ourselves overwhelmed with information from the presidential race all the way down to local elections. In my lifetime, I have never seen such an exciting time for politics. I believe Americans have made their need for change clear. This change, though, should not be a battle like some candidates want us to believe. Too often we hear partisanship get in the way of important issues and progressive action.

One progressive Democratic candidate understands this dilemma and even has ideas on how to work with Republicans towards a bipartisan state government priding itself on achievements, not party victories.

When Sean Spence is not walking door-to-door, he is meeting with voters of the 25th legislative district no matter their political alignment. Sean believes not in bickering on the house floor but in reaching out to local leaders of the political opposition to create a working bipartisan system.

No one should sacrifice his or her convictions, but Sean believes in a government that can come together to make Missouri a better place, regardless of what political party you are from.
