COLUMBIA — CrimeStoppers is offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of Columbia resident Garrett Murray.

There are three active felony warrants for Murray, for unlawful use of a weapon, failure to appear in court and possession with the intent to distribute a controlled substance, according to a press release from the Columbia Police Department. His bonds total $235,000.

The unlawful use of a weapon charge followed a shooting incident on Carol Drive in northeast Columbia on Dec. 10, 2007, according to police. The Violent Crimes Task Force has been unable to locate Murray since the event.

Police said Murray has multiple tattoos: the Grim Reaper on his right upper arm and a man with a shotgun on his left upper arm.

Murray is considered to be armed and dangerous, according to the news release. He is suspected to be in the Columbia area, said Columbia police Capt. Brad Nelson.

According to Missouri CaseNet, Murray was convicted in October 1997 of second-degree robbery and resisting arrest. He was sentenced to eight years and five years, respectively, in the Missouri Department of Corrections.

If you have information on the location of Murray, please call 9-1-1.
