Police looking for suspect in Break Time convenience store robbery

COLUMBIA — Columbia Police sought the public’s help on Wednesday in identifying a suspect captured on video surveillance during a March 15 Break Time convenience Store robbery.

The store, at 901 U.S. 63, was robbed at gunpoint at 4:42 a.m. on that day by a man who police Sgt. Roger Schlude described as 5 feet 11 inches tall and weighing around 200 pounds.

Schlude said the suspect was wearing a black jacket and a tan ball cap at the time of the robbery and driving either a green Pontiac Sunfire or Chevrolet Cavalier with a sunroof.

Police ask that anyone with information call CrimeStoppers at 875-TIPS or send tips to 875tips.com. A reward of up to $1,500 is being offered for information leading to an arrest.
