Sarah Elizabeth Messer Becking
Sarah Elizabeth Messer Becking of Columbia died of cancer on Monday, July 7, 2008, in Kenner, La. She was 36.
Mrs. Becking was “a loving wife, a great friend and an outstanding mother,” said her husband Jason Becking.
She was born June 7, 1972, in Englewood, Colo., to Cynthia and Nathaniel Messer IV. Her family moved to Columbia in 1988, and she graduated from Rock Bridge High School in 1990.
After graduation, she earned a Bachelors of Journalism from MU. Mrs. Becking then continued a career in photography. She is most known for her photographs of children, families and MU sporting events.
She is survived by her husband; her parents, a brother, Michael Messer: and two children, Adelaide and Jack.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at Launer Auditorium at Columbia College, 901 Rogers St. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Launer Auditorium.
