Robert G. Richardson
Robert G. Richardson of Columbia died Sunday, July 6, 2008. He was 78.
Mr. Richardson was born June 30, 1930, to William L. and Nannie (Black) Richardson in Boone County.
He married Mary Cook in 1950; she died in 1980.
He married Lois Richardson in 1981.
Mr. Richardson owned Columbia News Service for many years and worked at Wonder Bread for 17 years. He served in the U.S. Army and spent 18 months in Korea.
He was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan.
Mr. Richardson is survived by his wife; a daughter, Susan; a son, Mark; three stepdaughters Karen, Susan and Gretchen; a sister, Virginia Forbis; and a grandson, Rob.
A sister, Mary Page, and an infant brother, William Herman Richardson, died earlier.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Memorial Funeral Home, 1217 Business Loop 70 W. Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Olivet Christian Church, 1991 S. Olivet Road. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
